Welcome to Sweden, the fairytale land, Part 1

Last year, the road took me to Turkey for the holidays, but this year I recieved the most beautiful Christmas gift- a call to Sweden and a travel through this beautiful country!

My sister, our boyfriends and I packed our bags and headed on our way to Sweden to spend a memorable Christmas with our brother and his family and to meet a country that overwhelms with its landscape, food, mentality of the people who live there, who are actually pretty fun and sweet, contrary to the opinion that the Scandinavians are cold and serious.
Our journey began in Venice...

Waiting for our flight...

Here we are in Zurich where we spent 5 long & sleepy hours...

Switzerland- the land of chocolate!

Even so, we runed to the "healthy corner" for lunch!

After lunch, coffee and a little bit of sleep, here we are on the next flight to Stockholm.
And here it is...the little chocolate bar from Swiss Air, whole motto is that "Every flight ends with chocolate."

Landed on swedish soil! Unfortunaltely, after only one hours of sleep the night that preceeded the journey, we were barely looking, but the excitement did his work and helped us in the mission "Keep your eyes open".

Our beautifully spent days in Orebro...

Orebro Castle

Saint Nicolaus Church and the main square

Swedish slippers and a chocolate bar: Breakfast-lunch-dinner! Who recognizes himself in this statement? :P

You can find pepparkaka on every step you make with a nice, warm, spiced cup of wine...

Christmas spirit all around us!!

You have to find a way to keep warm at -16C degrees...

We ran into a little penguin in the centre if the city...

God Jul everybody!! :)

In love in Sweden! <3

We made it through our way to Svapmen, the water tower and a view point, the so called mushroom, typical for many cities in Sweden.
You can admire the whole city and its surroundings from the top.

I won't even try to explain how cold it was on almost 60 m of height and with the wind...

Inspite of everything, it wasn't still enough for us, so we continued our day with a walk through a beautiful natural park nearby...

A heart for Sweden! <3

While some are warming up...

...some are rolling over the ice! :D

In summertime you can sit and relax, reading and admiring the nature...

Hey! Wait for me in the next post about Sweden. I continue my story with swedish delights, Christams spirit, a roadtrip to Askersund and the beuatiful frozen lake, Laxo and the cherry on top...Stockholm!
