Hop skip & 3 days in the wonderland of Lika

Today I finally decided to sit down and type the post I promised you a month ago about the beautiful wonders of Lika, about the remarkable and totally relaxed three days. Croatia, my beauty!

Our adventure began on the Plitvice lakes naturally, but ended completely unpredictably with a tour of the region.

Neadless to say that this is something you simply MUST go and see!
It is a shame to miss this beauty, especially when it's "just around the corner" to us..

After the first part of the walk, we arrived to the ferry that took us to the other side of the park. From there, we made a long walked through the second part of the park and went back to the beginning, all by foot.
The Plitvice lakes were officialy declared a National park in 1949. They represent a large woody mountain area where lie 16 smaller/larger lakes of a beautiful cristal cyan colour.

We entered the park at 8:30 and finish our tour around 18:00.
After that, we drove to Rastoke, the small elf land. A lovely place surrounded by greenery and waterfalls.
Unfortunately, our battery from the camera did not survive the Plitvice lakes and that is the reason why we couldn't record Rastoke as they deserve to, but we will only keep the memory in our heart and mind.

We diged in really nicely in the restaurant "Mirjana Rastoke".
And the dessert....man, that dessert...we still dream those yummy strudels, never had better!

The next day we hit the road in the other direction like these sheep. We admired them and the surroundings and honestly envyed the way they get to spend their days. Such beatuy and such peace in this scenery!!

And then we were in the one and only croatian cave park GRABOVAČA.

Our tour guide through the park... :)

Me and my new-found friend had the part ways, in order for us to get to Smiljan, the hometown of Nikola Tesla.

I must say, they've done a great job renovating the birth house of Nikola Tesla.
You can visit the musem and park and learn really a lot about the life of this great man.
We were the only guests. No wonder, this place is situated in the middle of nowhere, in a green desert. Not a soul, just the sun shining, the greenery and the peace.

On the road to our Pula, we didn't know where to stop and just admire...
A view of Velebit...

A veiw of our islands (Pag, Rab).
We visited Pag a couple of times in the past years and we fell so much in love with it that we can't wait to get back.
Hope I will take you with me sometime here on the blog! :)

Greetings from us & until the next time, kisses my healthy people!
