A country rich in colours, smells and flavours...Turkey!

Even though almost 3 years have passed since this adventure and the photos aren't really good and high quality because we didn't have a camera back then, just our cell phones, I decided to make a post about this very dear trip to me.

I can still remember this travel very vividly with bits of gloominess and with a smile on my face, especially for the spontaneity of the very decision to go on this trip. Completely unplanned and decided at the last minute, but special and different memories were made in this country of different culture, customs, architecture than ours.

This is a country of rich colours, flavours and smells....a country of spices, tea, coffee, delights TOO sweet...Turkey!

Gevrek...a typical bagel with sesame seeds.

A view to the "Egyptian market" where you can find almost everything you need...dried fruits, spices, nuts, tea, meat, souvenirs, jewellery, scarfs...

P.S. bargaining is a MUST in these kind of places!

A strong turkish coffee & their typical and favourite drink- tea!

Contrary to many beliefs, the Turks prefer drinking tea than coffee. It has become a real custom over the years.

The Blue Mosque...one of the most beautiful mosques that stands out for it's magnificence!

Edirne and the mosque with the tallest minarets in Turkey.

This is Istanbul in really short terms...there are no enough photos and words to let you imagine this whole new world, but the memories we made and the experience we've been through will remain in us forever!

Hope I brought at least a small bit of the particularities of this city to your home, that like other cities has it's cons as well, but the beauty remains in it's differences.

Until the next adventure...a big kiss to you all!
